Subscription boxes have been taking over the world (well at least Australia, I can’t speak for the rest of the world), and I have been on the bandwagon for a little while now. I recently discovered ‘the change box’ which is a subscription box full of products that each supports a different cause or charity. I was really excited to check it out as I love to find products that are doing good things, and it is sometimes hard to discover them without a subscription box.
The box was $54.95 and as far as I can see is currently only available in Australia, but the products could be ordered from other places if you take a liking to any of them and are one of my international readers. For more information head over to https://www.thechangebox.com.au/.
The Products:
Seed Skincare Lavender Floral Water (http://www.seedskincare.com.au/).
This cute product is a hydrating spray that can be used before or after makeup. I have been using it for a couple of days now and love how it is easy to use and gives me an instant ‘fresh feeling’. It is also cruelty free & homemade, so what is not to love. I will definitely be checking out their other products.
Alter Eco Dark Salted Almonds Chocolate (http://www.alterecofoods.com/product-category/chocolate/)
Unfortunately for me I am allergic to nuts, so this product will be given to Jake or some other lucky friend! However, the company itself is sustainable and provides fair-trade working conditions, so I may have to try one of their nut free options.
Niulife Certified organic virgin coconut oil soap (https://www.niulife.com.au/)
I haven’t used this product yet, but I am super excited to try it as I have heard the hype around coconut oil for your skin. 100% of this company’s profits goes to their ‘villageforlife’ empowerment projects!
Xthundredfold Stars on a wrist bracelet. (https://shop.xhundredfold.com/).
This is my favourite product in the box- It is a super simple and quaint bracelet with a moon, stars, and a planet. The packaging had the quote “For some, who are travellers, the stars are guides. For others they are no more than little lights in the sky”- Antoine de Saint-Exupery, The Little Prince, which I thought was super cute (as I have said before I am a sucker for quotes). The company itself has so many amazing products (including stationery!!). I will have to ban myself from looking as I am on a strict budget!. Even better, every purchase supports a cause which gives to less privileged children!
Love my Earth Organic Kerala Curry (http://www.lovemyearth.net/)
I can’t wait to cook up this deliciously sounding curry!- I am feeling like I will make a potato curry- I will let you know how it goes (on Insta!). Again the company is sustainable and fair-trade.
East Bali Cacao Popcorn with Cashews (https://www.naturalhealthorganics.com.au/east-bali-cashews-cacao-popcorn-with-cashews-30g.html)
Seriously WHHHY am I allergic to nuts! Some other lucky person will get to eat this delicious treat! The company provides fair work conditions in Bali and also supports gender equality.
Overall, I loved my first ever ‘the change box’, and I think I will definitely be purchasing another so stay tuned for another unboxing!
