If you have been following my blog for a little while you would probably know that I have visited the island state of Australia a few times now (I have a few blog posts about my previous trips).
But $28 return tickets & the fact that Tasmania is one of my favourite places means I couldn’t turn down the chance to visit again. I went with two of my PhD pals for a few days of well deserved R&R.
The Tasmania landscape is unique, diverse, and wild. You could explore for weeks and still wouldn’t even touch the surface of the natural wonders hidden here.
Aside from nature, the cities (Hobart & Launceston) offer a haven for food, wine, beer, spirits, and coffee lovers. The cities are quirky and full of friendly people, and as they are small there is no stress when it comes to driving around or finding car parks.
A few of my favourite places are Grape Bar (Hobart), Inside Café (Launceston), Sweet Brew (Launceston), Ginger brown (Hobart), and my all time favourite bar- anywhere I have been in the world – the Salamanca Whisky and Cocktail Bar
Until next time Tassie (which is actually only just over a month away!)
