I have loved sharing my own days as a PhD student on this blog, but I have loved sharing other’s days even more! It has been a while since I have shared a featured day in the life post because I have been a little slack ! But I am hoping to get a few more up in the next few months!
Until then have a look through some of the previous posts…
Taylor
My name is Taylor and I’m in the final year of my PhD at Victoria University of Wellington, in New Zealand. I work in the chemical immunology team at the Ferrier Research Institute and my PhD involves designing and synthesising therapeutic cancer vaccines.
Laura
Hi all! I am Laura (@duoluola on insta) from the Netherlands, currently in Spain, and I am writing a PhD on Chinese calligraphy – trying to connect different fields of practice that I think belong together.
Bianca
Hi! My name is Bianca, and I am a third year psychology PhD student from South Australia. My research is in evolutionary and clinical psychology, looking at how early life environment and childhood experiences affect our development, and how this is related to experiences of mental health concerns. To be more specific, I am looking at a life history explanation of developmental psychopathology.
Robyn
I’m Robyn, a PhD student in ecology and evolution at the University of Glasgow, Scotland. I study circadian rhythms of wild birds, and I’m currently in my second year – about halfway through the PhD!
Laura
I am Laura originally from Lithuania living in Manchester. I am currently in my final year of my PhD studies at University of Manchester. My PhD is about human hair follicles – yes you read right! I am using isolated human hair follicles from hair transplants as a model system to investigate signalling pathways and to understand better why we lose hair or get grey hair.
