Whilst at university and school, we often live stressful lives: studying, trying to socialise as much as we can, perhaps skipping healthy meals here and there, and getting less sleep than we would like. So it is not surprising if you get sick, and these are my tips for how to deal with getting sick during the semester. Tell your […]

This week is O Week for most of the universities in Australia, which has made me reminisce on my first day of uni (which was six years ago!!!). I started to think what I would have liked to tell myself during this exciting, scary, and totally different time. 1) You will meet so many incredible people, who will have a huge influence in shaping the person you become. 2) You will be tested in ways that you never knew existed, and this is not limited to academia. 3) You will be busier than you’ve ever been before, you will somehow manage to fit in uni, work, volunteering, and a social life. 4) You will struggle with the assignments and exams more than you did at school. 5) You will change your mind all the time about ‘what you want to do when you grow up’, and this will cause you to feel anxious, but know that you are on the right path. 6) You will wish for full time work so you can see your friends and family at night and on the weekends. 7) You will achieve more than you imagined. 8) When you want to give up, don’t! 9) You will realise that following your passion and heart was more important than your head. 10) You will get through it.

The Island state of Australia has been on my travel radar for quite some time now, so I was so excited when my parents suggested the trip. The Journey- We had to stop off in Melbourne on our […]
A whole life- Robert Seethaler Quick overview: This is a short novel about a man who lives in a German Village and has many struggles both psychologically and physically. The story follows his ‘whole life’… who would have thought. Review: I picked this book up as it was a ‘staff pick’ in my local bookstore. It is a very short […]
1) Being passionate about a cause can be exhausting sometimes- I care a great deal about ocean conservation and in particular shark conservation. I have researched a lot and understand the facts and statistics about sharks, however obviously a lot of people don’t understand or even care. I knew this, but whilst researching the public’s views of sharks for my […]
Starting the Dr.Ofwhat youtube channel has been in the works for a little while now, but I was waiting for a reason to create the first video. Buying a new gopro and travelling to Brisbane for a long weekend gave me the perfect excuse. So without further ado here is the first vlog:
