Newcastle, A place to slow down a little

It is crazy to think that it has almost been a year since I visited Newcastle, the seaside city ~ 2 hours from Sydney.

We had no idea what to expect from Newcastle and choose to visit on a whim after googling ‘good places to visit in Australian during January!’ However, I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this little part of New South Wales. The Airbnb we stayed in stole my heart (see it here) and there was so much to do, amazing beaches, heavy surf, perhaps the best mexican I have had in a long time, The Hunter Valley, street art, and quirky cafes. It is a great place to base yourself for a week to slow down a little.
