Kangaroo Island is a tiny island off the coast of the Australian state that I call home, South Australia. Although small, Kangaroo Island is well worth (the rather) expensive trip over. It is home to some of the most stunning beaches, including one where you walk through a ‘secret’ cave and are greeted with dazzling blue water, pristine sand, and very few people!
Aside from the countless beaches, there are also the tourist must sees- the Remarkable Rocks and Admiral Arch- both examples of how impressive nature can be.
Don’t worry if beaches and nature aren’t really your thing… Kangaroo Island has other things to offer too…. World Class gin, honey, wine, seafood, cheese, and a brewery.
If you are a South Australian who hasn’t got around to visiting Kangaroo Island yet, I think you would find spending a weekend there pleasantly surprising. If you’re visiting South Australia make sure you include this little Island on your Itinerary.
