I wanted to start a new segment on Dr.ofwhat where I reveal my top three favourite discoveries for each month. These will be items, movies, blogs, youtube channels, initiatives (or anything else I find!).
Alright, Alright, I know the suspense must be killing you…. So here are my top 3 for June!
Book “Good Night for Rebel Girls”- My sister is a book queen, and therefore she always knows the best new releases. When I found this book on her book shelf and flicked through, I fell in love. It is a full of short stories (extremely short, one page each) about remarkable women throughout history. It is a book of ‘fairytales’, which are even more magical than fiction. 10/10 recommend. http://www.booktopia.com.au/good-night-stories-for-rebel-girls-elena-favilli/prod9780141986005.html?source=pla&gclid=CMC4tqDH5NQCFdUKKgodOlMO0g
Plastic Free July- I am very on board trying to reduce one-use plastic so it is great to see so many organisations & people getting behind the ‘Plastic Free July’ initiative. For more information go here: http://www.plasticfreejuly.org/. Get involved by grabbing some reusable items such as drink bottles (these are my fave- https://www.etsy.com/listing/526358037/zensips-eco-friendly-bottles?ref=pr_shop) or a ‘Keep cup’ coffee cup!
Youtube Channel- Sophie’s Wild Cornwall– I recently discovered Sophie on Instagram (@sophiepavs), and then found her Youtube videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LUbaQFp7X0). For her studies (in science communication), Sophie is hiking around Cornwall to discuss the wildlife and raise money for different conservation organisations. I love these videos, Sophie is so down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and funny. Also, thanks to her Cornwall is now 100% on my travel radar!
