Stop Comparing
There is a quote that says that comparison is the thief of joy, and that has never been more true than when you are comparing what you look like or attributes that you do or donāt have. But the comparisons need to stop of it will drive you crazy! Focus on what you do like about yourself and stop focusing on the things that you donāt like; it will instantly lift your mood.
Focus on What You Can Change
There can be many things that you will be unable to change about yourself, in particular when it comes to how you look. It can be hard to make yourself taller, for example. But if you want to make changes, focus on changing the things that you can, whether that is getting dental implants, changing your hair color, or starting a new yoga class to tone up. It can feel empowering to make changes, but just make sure that they are real and positive changes.
Dress How You Want
If you have thought that you need to look a certain way before wearing a certain thing, or just shy away from color to stop from standing out, then now is the time to make some changes. You can easily give yourself a confidence boost by wearing what you want right now. There is no need to wait until you look a certain way or feel ābraveā enough. Just do it now.
Self-Care
Scheduling in some time just for you is really important, especially if you have had a stressful time or had to face lots of new situations. Self-care, although a bit of a buzzword of late, can be just what you need to get you on the path of improving your self-esteem, as you are putting yourself first, as it gives you time to be by yourself and focus on you. Self-care could look like reading a book, writing in a journal, taking a bath, or taking time with your beauty regime and painting your nails, for instance.
