Hello! My name is Tori and welcome to The Day in the Life of a Tiny but Mighty Scientist! I am a recent graduate of Fort Lewis College with a Bachelors of Science in Cellular and Molecule Biology. Now, I’m currently a PhD student at the University of Arizona and will start my program this coming August. My most recent research looked at HER2+ breast cancer and explored how drug resistance effects cell migration. I wish to continue my PhD in Cancer Biology at UofA. Besides having a love for science, I loves all things big and small: whether that be hiking to the top of a 14er or using Super resolution microscopy to look at a molecule at nanoscale level. You can always find me smiling and laughing, exploring or traveling. My absolute passion (besides being a cat mom) is teaching! She can’t wait to be professor and educator and help students if all ages learn about science!
5:40am to 6am: Wake up, get some coffee and read a couple chapters of my book (this week is Educated by Tara Westover).
6:30 am to 7:30 am: Workout!! Sometimes I run and sometimes I go to the gym, today I felt super motivated to run so I did a Pelaton workout 🙂
8am to 9 am: After I finish taking a shower and getting ready, I make some breakfast (with some more coffee) and catch up on emails.
9am to 10am: I journaled and caught up on some article reading a little bit this morning while I listen to some music.
10am: I got hungry again so I made a little snack while I continued reading.
12pm to 2pm: Went to the gym to get out of the house and finish the workout from this morning.
2pm to 4 pm: Worked on some more emails while I ate a bit. I started feeling a little sick so I took it easy for the rest of the day.
5pm to 7pm: Since I was laying down, I worked on my Instagram page with the help of Totoro.
8pm to 9pm: I decided to read a little of more of my book before I went to bed for the night.
