I was diagnosed with endometriosis when I was 15 and for a long time I have attributed my constant stomach pains to this. However, I have recently found a really great GP who put me onto a dietitian to check for Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). This is a topic I am going to write a blog post on soon.
To test for IBS, I need to do the very restricting low FODMAP diet which is really overwhelming because there is a lot of foods that I can’t eat. The Monash University FODMAP Diet App is honestly a life saver and I couldn’t imagine doing this without it. It tells you what foods are okay and gives lots of great recipe ideas. It costs ~$10 (all proceeds go to research). There is also a really handy website.
If you are having to try out this diet (which I am hoping is not the case) I couldn’t recommend this app more.
