** This blog post discusses a product that I was gifted**
When I was doing my PhD, I hunched over a desk for hours, I prioritised writing over exercise. I would spend hours on my laptop on the couch. I would sit on uncomfortable café chairs just for a change of scenery. I am still feeling the effects of this, with regular neck and shoulder tension, just part of the PhD hangover… However, I am now actively working to improve this. I have regular physiotherapist appointments, do near daily stretching, Pilates, take regular breaks, and have lots of walks. I have also prioritised an ergonomic desk set up. At work I have a standup desk, and now at home I was fortunate enough to be gifted an ergotunechair!
It has genuinely made a huge difference to my comfort while working long hours. Plus, it comes in blue and I made it all by myself!
If you’re considering upgrading your office set up, ensure that you’re choosing an ergonomic chair that suits you. Link to ergotune and you can use the discount code 222DROFWHAT
