Day-to-Day life of a PhD student: 4th March 2019

6.58am-  Up, dressed, face on, and coffee in hand!

9.39am-  I had to stop off to buy lunch on the way to work but got to the office just after 9. I always start the day by checking my emails and seeing what is on the plan for today.

9.53am– Unfortunately I discovered that a lot of the work I did on Saturday didn’t save (laugh or cry!). So I had to rerun some statistics and re-write up all my regressions.

11.48am-  I have just finished re-running the statistics- Lots of Chi-squares and Fisher’s exact.

12.43pm-  Now I am writing up the regressions I ran. All of this is for study 2. I had a meeting with my supervisors last week and they both wanted a lot of changes done to this study. I am much happier with the story of this research now and I am hoping they will be too.

2.37pm- Mini sunshine break

2.59pm- Finished the tasks I had allocated for today!

3.57pm- I was getting a little bored of study 2 so I decided to work on my Chapter 2 draft. Chapter 2 is about perception of risk, fear, and the media.

8.58pm-  I forgot to take any afternoon photos, but it was a busy evening. I went to a functional interval training class, then got home at about 8, and had dinner outside with my housemate and his friends. Now it is trashy TV time.

9.54pm- Bed time and ready for another day working on study 2 tomorrow.
