I took 27 flights during 2018.
That is a sentence I didn’t think I would ever be able to write, I genuinely never thought I would have the opportunity to explore so much of this beautiful planet, let alone during one year.
So here is a wrap up of some of my adventures during 2018.
The first sunrise of 2018.
Riding an Icelandic horse around a volcano.
Driving a snow buggy around Iceland (I’m surprised my hands ever defrosted).
Seeing places that genuinely looked photoshopped in real life.
Exploring fresh water lagoons.
Getting my PADI divers license at the Great Barrier Reef
Skinny dipping in Bondi Beach after midnight.
Having beaches to ourselves in Kangaroo Island (This required a ferry rather than a plane).
Snowball fights in Tasmania.
Sunset over the Las Vegas strip.
I don’t think I will go on a plane anywhere near as many times next year, which is not something I am upset about. I have a PhD to finish. I adore the city I get to call home. Oh & I do already have some flights booked for January…..
